Description: First section is all the way on the Muscat Express Way for about 2 hours. Then after short ride, the road enters Wadi Bani Omar. The entire Wadi is black top, however due to recent flooding a lot of road sections was damaged and in repair (as of July 2022). With light water crossings and a bit of stony off-road nothing difficult, but I would not recommend to go there on a touring bike now. Later when they fix the road completely it should be fine for any bike. After lower parts in the Wadi itself there are a few mountain sections with stunning views and very good quality black top.

After Wadi Bani Omar the road leads to Nakhal Hot Springs via Rustaq through flat planes with gentle curves and very little traffic (at least until Rustaq).

With broken road sections, this route made an ideal combination for a half-day adventure trip! Just make sure you have at least 6 hours to spare.

Again hosted for lunch by strangers – Omani hospitality at work.
Great views with gentle curves – almost no traffic.
How on earth did that rock end up there?
Cafeteria at Nakhal hot springs – you can pay by card, coffee relatively ok.
Rest at Nakhal Hot Springs with optional fish SPA!
